  1. Pandemic Pete says:

Buyer beware after u start playing you will not want to stop! U will be thinking about it at work, while ur on the toilet, hell you will even be thinking about it while cuddling with your girlfriend. Am I wrong? 😂

  2. Steve Michael says:

Don’t tell me u want the starting gift to be a golden seed.

    Yup. He did.

Dude u end up with a shit ton of extra seeds at the end of the game they give extra. Why pick something as a gift when there’s already extra ?

  3. Jon Huntley says:

Elden Rings was an "I-don't-care-buy". It doesn't matter the flaws. I'd still buy it day one even knowing any imperfections if which I have experienced none. No performance issues whatever in my PS5.

  4. Sister Mary Clements says:

If you're new to these types of games you'll be wasting a lot of time figuring things out. It's super hard, super frustrating, and after playing non stop for 2 days, you'll be bored of the repetitive nature. You'll hit a limit, and progress after that is not fun anymore.
    Nice eye candy tho.

  5. Jesse Carrigan says:

This is my first honest try at the Souls type game. I prefer to enjoy my games without constantly dying. I did try demon souls and dark souls and just hated how often I was dying. This is unfortunate because I really want to enjoy the game with such rich lore.

  6. Jordan Corbett says:

First time with this genre and I'm a fairly casual gamer but I hate it so far, I'm sure it's great but I can't see this game appealing to most people other than hardcore gamers.

  7. Cody Lavoie says:

Dude I LOVE your attitude about pride and Souls-Like games.. so much of the community is toxic but I’ve always held the same position as you. Being good at these games is being ADAPTABLE!

  8. Joseph Foster says:

    Sonofagun lol

I wasn't sure I'd buy it (and if it wasn't for 3rd party fix for ultrawide 32:9, I wouldn't have)…but even though I never played Dark Souls because I heard it was so "unfair", I decided to give it a try…you claimed it to remind you of how Skyrim hit the market…

…it did deliver! I couldn't stop playing and I almost never buy a game full price…but dagnabbit, this game rocks!

Asa standard fps and rpg player, I was very pleasantly surprised. As a software engineer, I'm always amazed at the game development…but this went beyond!

Anyway, thank you sir… Your channel just opened up a new genre to me lol

  9. itsaUSBline says:

An addendum to #1, also don't do what I did and take the key at the beginning then use it in the tutorial dungeon then bash your head against that for a bit before even starting the game proper. It's hard as nails and not a great way to start off your playthrough, especially if you're new to these games.

  10. LMxXx MaskedSlaughter says:

Runes are good for keeping on stand by since you don’t lose them on death. I use them when I find a shopkeeper that has something I really want. Think of them like the coin purse from sekiro.

  11. The Liberal Veteran says:

This my first soulsborne game played, and it reminds me of a 360/ps3 game called Two Worlds. Everyone said this was a game changer….yeah theres nothing revolutionary about this game. Its alright, but not a game changer

  12. Skryonix says:

Wow Matty thank you so much for these! I would have completely missed number 10 if it weren't for your help here! Appreciate the work man! Makes me want someone to make a "Secrets of" series where they make an episode for each region of the game-world. That'd be cool. And with the legacy dungeons too since they're so big and intricate

  13. ThatScrubWolf says:

Elden Ring has quickly become my favorite souls like game. It feels like third person Skyrim with a better story, D&D type leveling, absolutely beautiful landscapes, and way better combat. It's challenging but pretty accessible for a souls game. Bosses are still Dark Souls difficult so it may not be for lesser skilled players if they don't enjoy a challenge or have a hard time adapting. A balance of patience and aggressivness is required to win fights so if you're lacking in either of these you may have more frustration than fun. Personally I find these games incredibly satisfying because of the challenge and how good it feels to beat a boss that was kicking your ass at first, and on the rare occasion you beat a hard enemy on your first try you feel godlike haha.

  14. Chuck Cloudy says:

I think we should give Elden Ring time to get the optimization right. I was clowning on them because I thought it would be a huge success, but it's really been rocky instead. Now I feel bad for kicking when they were on the ground… so sad.

  15. Death Proof says:

I hate Souls games and their influence on games in general. But whatever. As long as every game doesn't turn into a Souls game the way open world took over I'll be fine.

  16. Christopher Scott says:

The only issue I've had is not really knowing where to go. Elden Ring definitely doesn't hold the player's hand and I like that about the game. It let's you find out the hard way whether or not you're in the right neighborhood or not lol. I bought it for Steam and have been playing it since Thursday evening and PS5 on launch day, which has some problems along with the PC version with performance issues but, I e thoroughly enjoyed the game this far. Honestly, Elden Ring reminds me of a Dark Souls 3 BOTW. GOTY for me already.
