The first two examples of fingers bending light I've been doing for a long time and I've known that every thing can to a certain extent.
I think it IS diffraction. I took two Sharpie markers — essentially just smooth models of the fingers — and looked through the slit between them, and that rainbow diffraction grating you were talking about was present. OR, it could be that the shadow blister effect turns into a straight like, when you "unroll the circle." You know? I don't know.
I had already notised this weird light- finger thing , and i was always wondering why this happens. Now i know … thank you.
I think the slit phenomena from the wave function of light causes the 3rd experiments.

does being nearsighted affect the outcome of the little light tricks? because I know myopia (nearsightedness) is caused by a misshapen lense which in turn causes the focal point to be closer and more inside the eye. and you mentioned stuff about and lens and the focal point. because none of these tricks work for me, and I tried them all with and without glasses. so I was just wondering if my myopia is the cause of this stuff not working for me
Well the shadow lines in your fingers could be explained by the shadow bulge effect. But since the hole is so small and there is more than 1 source point of light the shadows end up overlapping each other as you move away and the multiple sources of light fill the gaps in between
I heard that shadows combine togeter when close and I thought the light bending with your two fingers was the oppisite
I always thought that the shadow blister effect was an aura 😂
