I know that char is important. But overall i wasn't a fan of Char. The stuff he did, got so many innocent people killed or hurt. And at times he wouldn't even think twice about it. A better version of char to me is in gundam wing. With Treize Khushrenada in who i'm referencing. Because he actually cared about the mistakes he made. In when it got people killed or injured. Which you don't see that too often with characters, you would consider a villain of the story. To be honest, i rather have this story re done.(UC timeline in general) Because Amuro for me deserved a better ending then he got. Some of the original ideas to end Amuro's story, i think would have been better. Instead of Amuro dying with his long time rival. Who was a very selfish character in general. And yes i do like the UC timeline gundams. I just think it could have been done better story wise. Especially with stuff involved with Tomino. Because he would let his emotions get the better of him. And make story decisions based off of that. If i could, i probably would re do some of the stories. Now i would have still had character deaths in the story. But in additions and subtractions of some of the deaths. Like switch around deaths and characters surviving and what not. Just how i felt with the whole picture of the story in the UC timeline overall. Plus some gundams i would fully reboot, like victory gundam. Double zz would make a few adjustments here and there. Even gundam unicorn for me had issues. F91 gundam deserved a full series. Especially in what the mc means for another later mc in the storyline. There's a few things that were left up in the air plot thread wise also. But that is more of a nitpick in general. There's also stuff like blue destiny gundam and crossbone gundam deserving their own series. But one of the first and main things i would change, would be stuff involving the full conclusion of the og main story. But remember this is just my opinion on it. lol Other fans might feel different about it. Just felt Amuro deserved better. x. x Sorry this was a long paragraph. XD

  2. Shmario says:

    char its a "hero"

he acted as a villain to lift humanity capacities

    even with great costs

all to try to unify humanity to prevent the "big infinite darkness" which full frontal said so much on unicorn gundam

my interpretation of this big infinite darknes its the Turn A Gundam incident which it showed on

Mobile Suit Gundam: Light of Life Chronicle U.C where turn a gundam destroys everything

but about the big infinite darkness this its just me theorizing

remember one of the favorites phrase of char is "u failing to see the big picture"

  3. Logan's Walk says:

The best part of Amuro's and Char's relationship is that if the circumstances were just a bit different the two of them could switch positions by the time of counter attack.

  4. theedwardian says:

The philosophy Char represents is really profound. He is right about everything. He represents the natural order, and how newtypes are the next step of evolution that will lead humanity. Unfortunately his ideals are misinterpreted and used as an excuse to perpetuate violence. Ironically, Char is stopped only by his fellow superior man, who instead embraces a feel-good delusion over Zeonic beliefs. Char was right about everything, and ultimately concedes that Amuro upholds the same ideals whether he's aware of it or not.

  5. Antonio McNeary says:

Sorry I don't have much to add but I want to give a shout out to all these amazing comments giving different perspectives and exposition for CCA. I genuinely enjoy reading them!!!

  6. Nugget says:

Char was throwing space colonies on Earth how could he be right or a hero!? LOOOOL Still he is a cool character. Similar to Treize from Wing. They are supposed to be cool and well motivated but not heroes. I know some people consider Treize a hero.

  7. J. H. says:

As you grow older you'll realize that old structures hides behind masses of naiveness and is willing to do whatever necessary to maintain on power. If they can't benefit from the next step of evolution they will just put an iron fist on it. So Char had no choice. He had came a long way from a simple "prince" of revenge to a embodiment of an ideology. He had witness tons of sacrifices made by the pawns of both sides and come to the realization that in order for people to move forward the ultimate sacrifice is needed and stop the bloodshed which had been slowly draining us away. He didn't lose his heart he if he had he would've just gone with the flow and let history slowly unfold itself. He would have lived through his live with a clear conscience and made easy livings capitalize on his following like many others before him. Which is why I think a lot of people had misread him. The fact he would "give" pycho-frame to Amuro shows he was not the same politician that we see today playing on the world stage.

  8. chris hill says:

I can see why lala call char pure the main reason is char trying to force people to become newtypes no matter what we're rays idea was slow process. With how both these shows off two path to same end we're char never having people to help him when he falls into the abyss and ray having people to grab before he falls.

  9. Andrew Viewtieful Tachibana says:

its honestly the same argument i have about Superman in Injustice, the first part was the only good thing done (killing the zabi family) buuuut becoming a newtype extremist, not so much

  10. Sophie Mcmahon says:

Who would have thought the famous fascist, char aznable, a man who attempts an ethnic cleansing of people he perceived as less evolved isn't a hero? Wild 🤔🤔🤔

  11. Turok Rambo says:

    I think Zeta
Has to be Char's BEST Character ark. Someone who has a tragic childhood growing up. But still wanting to follow what his father before him believed in. And learned to forgive Amuro of the past.
And wanting to help Kamile grow and become good and have better decision in his life. Still has a tragic end. But i always wish there was an alternative story to it for Double Zeta where Char remains good. Instead of following his interest. Because Kamile lost his mind and went into a coma. Caused alot of trama to char, and made him forget all he thought he would grow to be left behind. Sad

  12. Swindle1984 says:

Char's followers believed he was leading them to freedom from the EF's constant oppression, when in reality his plan was basically an elaborate form of suicide by cop.

  13. upsidedown machiatto2 says:

Char was my favorite character next to Amuro in the original up to Zeta. Really hoped Char would have changed for the best after Zeta. I always imagined him and Kamille teaming up with Amuro to enact actual change from the ground up.

  14. Orochi says:

Who the hell told you char is right and he's a hero? Lmao, we love char not because hes right or a hero, we love him because hes fucking Char Aznable, he's genius Master tactician, vengeance incarnate, politician, cocky 0079, hes more like a anti-hero, doing good things and bad things and you cant blame him, you can't really argue with his ideals, and the Gundam plot revolves around char he's the pseudo protagonist of gundam series. No matter what fckin sht you said we love char

  15. Sledge Mofo says:

I haven't listened to a to ton of people talk Gundam, just a few. I've always watched and made my own judgements, rudimentary though they be. Your analysis is really good, and you broke it down like a professor can break down literature.
