I have 2 twenty something guys living at home. Cleaning was always a source of contention between us until your video. I have to say that I was SOOOOOO happy with the results!!! Their rooms are clean finally and we even opened the windows to let some fresh air in. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!

  2. Dani Marie says:

Thank you so much! I'm a very clean person but soooo messy. Like I wash my sheets once a week, but my bathroom counter top is covered with makeup and toiletries. These tips really helped me, especially the identifying the "clutter magnets!" lmao!

I also realized I'm already good at not buying or bringing in things into the home bc of environmental reasons. I hate hate hate pointless plastics and just "thingys". HATE. So pointless, so bad for the environment. So i don't have much of that around which makes things easier.

Most of the "clutter" I have in my home are all useful things like my water bottle, my notebook, my wallet, keys, some shoes, clothes etc.

    Again, thanks!

  3. Paul Maddox says:

Wow! I just learned a lot….I knew there was not a big trick to cleaning….it's all about time….thank you young lady for helping an old guy like me out…

  4. wanda taylor says:

I HAVE A CLIENT THAT IS ALL ABOUT HEALTH. HIS COUNTERS ALL OVER THE HOME LOOK LIKE A MESSY LAB. THEY WANT ME TO TAKE OFF ALL THE CLUTTER OF BOTTLES = PLASTICS = YUCK MESS OFF = WHIPE IT AND PUT IT ALL BACK. MOST OF MY CLEANING JOB WILL BE MOVING STUFF. THIS IS SO FRUSTRAIGHTING. THINKGS TOPPLE OVER AND IT IS UNBELIEABLE TO THINK THEY POSESS SELF LOVE AT ALL? THIS IS A MENTAL ILLNESS AND COMFORTABLE DENIAL. IN ELDERS HOMES = I FIND EVERYTHING = I MEAN EVERYTHING IS ON THE BATHROOM COUNTER TOP = YOU CAN NOT SEE COUNTERS ANYWHERE. OH I DRED CLEANING HOMES THAT MAKE YOU WORK MOVING THEIR THINGS. THIS IS EVERYWHERE IN MY COMMUNITY. THE PEOPLE THAT REPRESENT YOUR COMMUNITIES = YOU WOULD BE JAW DROPPED SHOCKED ! JUNK HOUSE JUNK FOOD JUNK MIND THEY SAY. CLEANING RUNS MORE EMOTIONALLY DEEPER I FIND. I AM NOT PERFECT BY ANY MEANS. I CAN CLUTTER A SPOT IN NO TIME. I DO REALIZED THE IMPORTANCE OF CLARITY AND WORK TO ACHIEVE CLEAN WHEN I CAN. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMEONE THAT GOES TO GREAT LENGTHS TO TAKE CARE OF WHAT THEY PUT IN THEIR BODY… AND THEN ACT THE OPPOSITE WAY BY SABATOGING THEIR TIME = FRUSTRATION AND A CHANCE TO LIVE STRESS FEEE. THIS CLIENT WAS GIVING ME ADVICE ON LIFE! NO THANKS. THE HOME ALONE CAUSES ME ANXIETY THE MOMENT I ENTER. WHEN I FINISH CLEANING.. IT SMELL BETTER? HOW CAN YOU ASK A CLEANER TO COME IN AND WHIPE THINGS DOWN WITH YOUR STUFF ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE. I LOST MY BUCKET IN 2 SECONDS. SOS SAVE OUR SANITY.. SORRY TO BE SO WORDY. IF YOU WANT TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOUR CLUTTTER.. COME ON A FEW CLEANS WITH ME… IT WOULD BLOW YOUR MIND.. DOG BOWLS NEVER WASHED… I MEAN NEVER! I WASHED THE BOWLS. HOW COULD I NOT! POOR ANIMALS.. GOD FORBID THEY HAVE KIDS! THANKS FOR LETTING ME VENT. RATHER THAN FIGHTING IT.. I NEED A FAST WAY TO REMOVE THINGS = CLEAN SPACE AND PUT THEM BACK.. I KNOW THAT IT IS TOTALLY NUTS. IT IS WHAT IT IS. THANK YOU FOR ANY ADVICE YOU MAY HAVE. THEESE CLIENTS NEED MORE HELP THEN I COULD OFFER . YOURS TRULY, THE MESSY TRUTH OF PEOPLE YOU COULD NEVER IMAGINE BEING MESSY!

These tips are spot on for me right now. I have to go back to these methods when I'm overwhelmed or other life stuff is go on hello holidays and I'm behind on my routine I need these simple perfect tips. The magic of a timer for me is I'm not forced to do that one thing I'm dreading right now. It lets me choose because the little child in me just doesn't want to be told what to do. This gives me the freedom, gets me moving, I start feeling the good feelings of clean and it just keeps me going.

  6. artsymom0329 says:

I just came across this video through searching for cleaning blogs and I have to say, this makes more sense than anything I have read regarding cleanliness and organization

  7. Mughal Mughal says:

I start a 10 min timer And i am zooming around my room to get the whole room tidy. I feel like I am in a race 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣

  8. Kellie Atkinson says:

So much yes!!! I absolutely LOVE your videos Kallie. It’s nice to see the truth in this situation that it’s not black and white about being clean or messy. My in-laws struggle to realize that our house isn’t going to look like Martha Stewart’s magazine cover but that doesn’t mean we’re not trying or we don’t care about being tidy. You always inspire me 😊

  9. Jenni Berber says:

Sooo like.. what if your whole house is a clutter spot? 😅 Cause I am looking around right now and I'm like wow things pile up on my couch, my desk, my side table, my kitchen table. Basically every single flat surface.

  10. 66Louii99 says:

"Chasing after the perfectionism of being a clean person will leave most people, to never succeed at any level of clean"
Makes absolutely no sense (to me) 😂 even if someone doesn't have OCD, trying to be clean leaves you at some level of clean 🤔 even folding one shirt and putting it away it's a start, doing something is better than doing nothing. I had to rewind that several times to try and comprehend the concept of that. And It still sounds like "nothing is ever good enough" kind of vibe.

  11. Kelly Atkinson says:

Girl! Within 10 minutes of watching my first video after finding your channel, I jumped out of bed at 10:00 and decluttered my husbands dresser and mine! How inspired I am! Kitchen is next. I’m going to get crazy! Thank you, keep these tips coming and kiss those precious babies for me💋

  12. Beverly Moore says:

Love love love this video as well as others by you. Duing my younger years, I was never a clutter bug…now I'm a clutter monster! UGH! Thank you so much for addressing the clutter to unclutter as well as the video regarding Swedish Death Cleaning. I'm now inspired & will begin your suggestions tomorrow. Not putting off until another day, as it's evening for me now & soon off to bed. Thank you for your wonderful videos
& what you suggest to help make our home look cleaner. Your ideas/videos are spot on!!! Keep filming!😁

  13. Shawn David says:

Confronting my perfectionism to its face and calling it out as it's the root of my procrastination. BOLD. I like it. Giving me keys the out this messy cave of insanity and depression, for that you are real life HERO.

    1. Stop the all or nothing mindset! Every little bit helps.
    2. Cleaniness is. A. SPECTRUM. Say it with me: SPECTRUM. A SCALE. See Rule 1.
    3. Lose the guilt and Start small where you are. See Rule 1!
    4. Create If and then Rules. Pair what you already to with a new habit.
    5. Do one thing thing Future Shawn will thank you for.

  14. Alina Carmenatis says:

I live in a 1100 sqft house with 2 kids and my Housband and we also work from home so LOVE your ideas. Question which mop do you use???? To get it done so fast

  15. 💚 Amy-Lee Angel 💜 says:

The problem many times is living with messy people. You clean and within 5 minutes it looks like you didn't do anything. After awhile you just give up. Since I have OCD, it becomes overwhelming and I just freeze. I can repeat myself a million times and no one listens. The best way to have a clean house is to live in separate houses. 😂

  16. Fouzia Sadiq says:

I have spared 15 mins for this video and I must admit it was worth it!!!
    Thank you for your time
    Thank you for being honest.
Thank you for letting me feel that I am not the onlyone on this road.
Thank you for giving such wonderful tips
    God bless you 💗

  17. Peach Bunni3 says:

Something that I learned from Marie Kon was "Put things you use often in easy to reach places. Put things you use less (Like special occasions) in harder to reach places. That way you are less likely to procrastinate putting it away."

  18. HeavymetalHylian says:

All great tips! I have chronic pain and having a place for everything, decluttering, and investing in easy to use cleaning tools has made a huge impact on my quality of life. I keep all of my hair and makeup stuff in one basket that I can take out in the morning. After work, I put everything back in the basket and into the cabinet. After decluttering, I don't have as much to dust and wipe down. I use a lightweight cordless vacuum that's easy for me to push and pull around. I even buy those little bleach/chlorine tablets that you can just drop in the tank to help keep the toilet cleaner during the week – that way if I have a bad weekend and can't get out of bed, I won't have to do any heavy duty cleaning the next weekend – just a light scrub. My point in sharing all this is to say "the easier it is the more likely you will do it." Just doing things a little bit at a time will make a big difference and will keep your home from being chaotic and unwelcoming.

  19. Kate C says:

You started the video saying we needed to stop thinking of ourselves as messy people, then insulted us at the end by calling us messy people and said others are just naturally tidy. It had been a decent video up to that point but that negated everything else you said as it was a complete contradiction and a put down in one. I also find your tone patronising, you address the viewers as if they are high-school students rather than adults.
