oh my, the click of that floppy drive! Warp 4 had the IP stuff OOTB. I used that for a long time in college with a dialup network.

I loved OS/2 back in the 80's 90's…. and the sole reason for using it was the 255 character allowance when saving files…. it was indispensable when saving college/Uni work,

Gee, I remember the endless BBS discussions on preemptive multitasking (OS/2) vs cooperative multitasking (W95) back in the day. OS/2 was cool. I installed mine from floppies… 32 floppies. That part was no fun.
The browser was crap. It was such a relief when they finally launched Netscape for OS/2

Nice video eznix. I loved this distro; mainly because it broke ranks with Microsoft. I remember I had two versions – one with a million floppies [!], and the other a couple of CDs. But it did have a share of issues. It was like "concorde" [the jet airliner, killed by American corporate envy?], in that it was ahead of its time. Watching this makes me want to reliove that moment too. Thanks for the memory…
Did you set the Isa ports and irq for your network card? That might be an issue. Also, amazingly, os/2 3&4 can still do a remote ftp based update for fixpacks from ibms ftp. All you need is a floppy with the rsu for os/2 and you can update the system using rsu over the internet still. Also if you grab Netscape 4 for os/2 from mirrors you can use the internet on os/2 to browse Hobbes and download stuff, so it is useful
I run the modern version of OS/2, ArcaOS, based on 4.52. Very sweet running on my Thinkpads T-60 and T-400.
How large is the HDD? OS/2 was very picky. DHCP was available with FixPack 40.
